Reactive advertising has had a lot of good press in recent times, perhaps because we can’t resist seeing a bit of banter between brands, especially when one is being put in their place (Carlsberg’s response to the Beach Body ad last summer anyone?). Creating an Oakwood Colouring Book

One evening, at home with friends, I was colouring in my first adult colouring book I’d been given as a gift.  The next day I popped to the supermarket, only to see more colouring books.  After talking about it at work, I realised how much fun people are now having colouring in.  It’s such a relaxing way to de-stress and reconnect with your inner child.  This was how the idea started for the Oakwood colouring book.

Work placement within the design industry

What partly attracted me to my degree course in Falmouth, apart from sun, sea and surf (of which there was little of any over actual term time) was that it included a year’s placement within the design industry. When I got to the end of my second year of study this had unfortunately been reduced in length but nevertheless I had the opportunity to get some valued experience in a real life working environment.
