Despite over 90% of the world’s goods being transported by sea, greater collaboration is needed to educate the wider public on how a ship operates, to inspire the next generation to enter the maritime industry.
The Partnership will raise £1m for marine related charities by offering companies the opportunity to become the provider of equipment or service to a ‘virtual ship’. It provides a platform to showcase the technology, knowledge and expertise that goes into todays ships.
Oakwood Agency, as project partners, created the site design and build and developed a responsive, mobile friendly site to maximise potential user engagement.
The site is built using an ASP.NET cms and SQL server database allowing the partners on the project to contribute to the content easily.
