The Challenge

OptiLIFT developed an innovative shuttle system that could remove and replace failed underwater pumps (a.k.a. artificial lift systems), enabling oil and gas production to be quickly resumed. The Houston-based startup needed a distinctive, credible brand platform from which to launch this new technology.

The Idea

We created the ZEiTECS brand. The name reflected the key elements of ‘time’ and ‘technology’ while the styling was fresh and bold. And to achieve stand out in an industry saturated with engineering brands we supported this with a customer-focused positioning: Lifting Expectations.

The Result

Following the commercialisation of its ZEiTECS Shuttle™ the company has since been acknowledged in the World Oil awards as a leading name in well intervention. In November 2014 the business was acquired for an undisclosed sum by global oilfield services giant Schlumberger, who kept the ZEiTECS brand.
