IKEA - Celebrating 25 years

Thinking big What was the brief?

To celebrate their 25th anniversary, IKEA wanted to produce something different that they could give away to their ‘IKEA Family’ database as a loyalty reward mechanism.

Acting bold What did we do?

We took the top 5 most iconic items in their range which were the Billy Book Case, the Poäng Chair, Lack table, PS 1995 Clock and Watering Can. Each one was originally turned into a mini 3D version and formed part of a collectible set of keyrings. Once each product had been prototyped it was decided that a pseudo 3D version would be more practical. Therefore, we created a 2D layered version which gave a 3D effect.

Driving impact What were the results?

After a successful UK launch an additional run was made for the German market.
